About PrisonMail.org:

PrisonMail.org is a service designed to help many people communicate with inmates in a convenient way. One person will sponsor and pay for a mailbox to a specific inmate, and then any number of people are able to write letters online for free. The idea is that people are more inclined to write from a computer in one step than the seven steps it takes to write, print, address, lick, stick, stamp, and take to the post office.

Here is a little information on how it works:

We charge monthly for a service. The service involves printing and mailing letters weekly or semi-weekly first class to the specified recipient. So it is actually a physical process, and not just an electronic one.

When someone contributes, the amount is credited to the mailbox which was contributed to. Each month when we bill the account, we first deduct the amount of the contribution. If the amount of the contribution is equal to the monthly billing, we simply do not charge them that month. If it is greater, then the credit can last for more than one month.

Our refund policy is "satisfaction guaranteed". We will refund a full billing with no questions (or more if needed and there is a good reason). Just do your best to let us know of any issues within a 30 days.

Because we are not a large company, there is a good chance that you will get a voice mail when calling in. We will return your call. We treat each support request as important, and will make sure you are as satisfied as possible.
